In the time from 06.2021 – 07.2021 the presence lessons take place in the facilities of the International Yezidi Theological Academy in Georgia and are obligatory for every student. All deadlines are suspended due to Corona measures. The Academy is unable to begin its studies again until Corona measures in Georgia have been relaxed. Applications will still be accepted. So you can still apply without any problems.
Duration of studies
The degree programmes last three years. Attendance classes are compulsory, so students must be in Georgia during the specified time.
The semester fee is $300 per student. The costs of accommodation, meals (food and drink) and excursions are covered by the semester fee. The accommodation for students of the first semester is located in the annex of the Ziyaret (Quba Sultan Êzîd). Students in advanced studies sleep in newly built rented apartments near the academy. The inner courtyard of the temple is decorated with a garden and various rare plants. On the plot, there are various rooms of the Academy, the library, seminar rooms, a lounge, accommodation for students as well as a kitchen in a glass annex.
Our academy houses one of the largest and most comprehensive archives on the Yezidis in the world. It contains hundreds of books and manuscripts. The library is at the disposal of the Academy’s students for their research at any time.
Our weekly excursions are a balance to your studies. Together we explore the Georgian landscape and strengthen the feeling of togetherness. Our students have the opportunity to get to know their fellow students and lecturers better.
